About the Literary Author

Sharon Thompson was born in Portland, Jamaica, Portlandis known for its incredible beaches and natural beauty. She grew up in the district of Mt. Pleasant where she attended Mt. Pleasant All-Age school. Apart from her parents and siblings who impacted her life positively, her love for storytelling was nurtured by her teachers especially Ms. Eleanor Brown and Mr. Jim Patterson. After studying agriculture and working as an agricultural officer in Jamaica, Sharon migrated to the United States in 1991. She pursued a career in the medical field, first as a certified nursing assistant then became a Registered Nurse before transitioning to writing. During the COVID-19 lockdown she began writing children’s books to help uplift and entertain children during tough times.
